  • 简介:Anewlydesignedstrutisproposedinthispaperforfuelinjectionandflameholdinginaliquid-kerosene-fueledsupersoniccombustor.Thethicknessofthestrutis8mmandthefrontblockageisabout8%.Thecharacteristicofthisstrutisthatextraoxygencanbeinjectedthroughasetoforificesatthebackofthestrut,whichcanchangethelocalflowfieldstructureandER(EquivalenceRatio).Basedontheabovementionedstrut,astablelocalflameisgeneratedatthebackofthestrutandthemaincombustioncanbeorganizedaroundthislocalfire.Numericalsimulationisconductedtocomparethelocalflowfielddistributionatthebackofthestrutwith/withoutextraoxygeninjection.Experimentsareconductedtotestthecombustioncharacteristicsbasedonthisfuelinjectionandflameholdingstrategy.Thetemperaturedistributionwhichcanreflectthelocalflamecharacteristichasbeenmeasuredintheexperimentsconductedundercoldincomingsupersonicairflowcondition.Inaddition,theoverallcombustionperformanceinafull-scalesupersoniccombustorhasbeenevaluatedintheexperimentsconductedunderhotincomingsupersonicairflowcondition.Resultsshowthatthisstrutstrategyisverypromisingsinceitcanorganizestablesupersoniccombustionatthecenterofthecombustorwithoutanycavityorrearwardfacingstep.Besidesthat,evenwiththe8mmthickstrut,thecombustioncanbestableinawiderangeofERfrom0.25-1byusingliquidroom-temperaturekerosene.

  • 简介:TheCMSCollaborationof2000scientistsinvolves150institutionsfrom31nationsspreadallovertheworld.CMSsoftwaresystemintegrationandreleasemanagementisperformedatCERN.CodemanagementisbasedonCVS,withreadorwriteaccesstotherepositoryviaaCVSserver,Softwareconfiguration,releasemanagementtools(SCRAM)arebeingdevelopedatCERN.Softwarereleasesarethendistributedtoregionalcenters,wherethesoftwareisusedbyalocalcommunityforawidevarietyoftasks,suchassoftwaredevelopmentdetectorsimulationandreconstructionandphysicsanalysis.Dependingonspecificapplication,thesystemenvironmentandlocalhardwarerequirements,differentapproachesandtoolsareusedfortheCMSsoftwareinstallationatdifferentplaces.Thispresentationdescribesconceptsandreactialsolutionsforavarietyofwaysofsoftwaredistribution,withanemphasisontheCMSexperienceatFermilab,Installationandusageofdifferentmodelsusedfortheproductionfarm,forcodedevelopmentandforphysicsanalysisaredescribed.

  • 简介:Weinvestigatespontaneousemissionpropertiesandcontrolofthezerophononline(ZPL)fromadiamondnitrogen–vacancy(NV)centercoherentlydrivenbyasingleellipticallypolarizedcontrolfield.WeusetheSchr¨odingerequationtocalculatetheprobabilityamplitudesofthewavefunctionofthecoupledsystemandderiveanalyticalexpressionsofthespontaneousemissionspectra.Thenumericalresultsshowthatafewinterestingphenomenasuchasenhancement,narrowing,suppression,andquenchingoftheZPLspontaneousemissioncanberealizedbymodulatingthepolarizationdependentphase,theZeemanshift,andtheintensityofthecontrolfieldinoursystem.Inthedressed-statepictureofthecontrolfield,wefindthatmultiplespontaneouslygeneratedcoherencearisesduetothreeclose-lyingstatesdecayingtothesamestate.Theseresultsareusefulinrealexperiments.

  • 简介:Bismuth(Bi)-dopedphotonicmaterials,whichexhibitbroadbandnear-infrared(NIR)luminescence(1000–1600nm),areevolvingintointerestinggainmedia.However,thetraditionalmethodshaveshowntheirlimitationsinenhancingBiNIRemission,especiallyinthemicroregion.Consequently,thetypicalNIRemissionhasseldombeenachievedinBi-dopedwaveguides,whichhighlyrestrictstheapplicationofBi-activatedmaterials.Here,superbroadbandBiNIRemissionisinducedinsituinstantlyinthegratingregionbyafemtosecond(fs)laserinsideborosilicateglasses.Aseriesofstructuralandspectroscopiccharacterizationsaresummonedtoprobethegenerationmechanism.AndweshowhowthisnovelNIRemissioninthegratingregioncanbeenhancedsignificantlyanderasedreversibly.Furthermore,wesuccessfullydemonstrateBi-activatedopticalwaveguides.TheseresultspresentnewinsightsintoBi-dopedmaterialsandpushthedevelopmentofbroadbandwaveguideamplification.

  • 简介:Thefundamentalmomentumconservationrequirementq~0fortheRamanprocessisrelaxedinthenanocrystallites(NCs),andphononsawayfromtheBrillouin-zonecenterwillbeinvolvedintheRamanscattering,whichiswell-knownasthephononconfinementeffectinNCs.ThisusuallygivesadownshiftandasymmetricbroadeningoftheRamanpeakinvariousNCs.Recently,theA'_1modeof1LMoS2NCsisfoundtoexhibitablueshiftandasymmetricbroadeningtowardthehigh-frequencyside[Chem.Soc.Rev.44(2015)2757andPhys.Rev.B91(2015)195411].Inthiswork,wecarefullycheckthisissuebystudyingRamanspectraof1LMoS2NCspreparedbytheionimplantationtechniqueinawiderangeofion-implanteddosage.ThesameconfinementcoefficientisusedforbothE'andA'_1modesin1LMoS_2NCssincethephononuncertaintyinanNCismainlydeterminedbyitsdomainsize.TheasymmetricalbroadeningneartheA′_1andE′modesisattributedtotheappearanceofdefect-activatedphononsatthezoneedgeandtheintrinsicasymmetricalbroadeningofthetwomodes,wheretheanisotropyofphonondispersioncurvesalongΓ-KandΓ-Misalsoconsidered.Thephotoluminescencespectraconfirmtheformationofsmalldomainsizeof1LMoS_2nanocrystallitesintheion-implanted1LMoS_2.Thisstudyprovidesnotonlyanapproachtoquicklyprobephonondispersiontrendsof2DmaterialsawayfromΓbytheRamanscatteringofthecorrespondingNCs,butalsoareferencetocompletelyunderstandtheconfinementeffectofdifferentmodesinvariousnanomaterials.
