简介:Wedemonstrateanelectric-controlledterahertz(THz)modulatorwhichcanbeusedtorealizeamplitudemodulationofterahertzwaveswithslightphoto-doping.TheTHzpulsetransmissionwasefficientlymodulatedbyelectricallycontrollingthemonolayersilicon-baseddevice.Themodulationdepthreached100%almostwhentheappliedvoltagewas7Vatanexternallaserintensityof0.6W/cm2.Thesaturationvoltagereducedwiththeincreaseofthephoto-excitedintensity.InaTHzcontinuouswave(CW)system,asignificantfallinbothTHztransmissionandreflectionwasalsoobservedwiththeincreaseofappliedvoltage.ThisreductionintheTHztransmissionandreflectionwasinducedbytheabsorptionforelectroninjection.Theresultsshowthatahigh-efficiencyandhighmodulationdepthbroadbandelectric-controlledterahertzmodulatorinapureSistructurehasbeenrealized.

简介:Theproblemofrecognizingnaturalscenes,suchaswater,smoke,fire,wind-blownvegetationandaflockofflyingbirds,isconsidered.Thesescenesexhibitthecharacteristicdynamicpattern,buthavestochasticextent.Theyarereferredtoasdynamictexture(DT).Inreality,thediversityofDTsondifferentviewpointsandscalesareverycommon,whichalsobringgreatdifficultytorecognizeDTs.Inthepreviousstudies,duetonoconsideringofthedeformableandtransientnatureofelementsinDT,themotionestimationmethodisbasedonbrightnessconstancyassumption,whichseeminappropriateforaggregateandcomplexmotions.Anovelmotionmodelbasedonrelativemotionintheneighborhoodoftwo-dimensionalmotionfieldsisproposed.Theestimationofnon-rigidmotionofDTsisbasedonthecontinuityequation,andthenthelocalvectordifference(LVD)isproposedtocharacterizeDTlocalrelativemotion.SpatiotemporalstatisticsoftheLVDsisusedastherepresentationofDTsequences.ExcellentperformancesofclassifyingallDTsinUCLAdatabasedemonstratethecapabilityoftheproposedmethodindescribingDT.

简介:Aimingathandlingcomplicatedmaneuversorotherunpredictedemergenciesforhypersonicglidevehicletracking,threecoupleddynamicmodelsofstateestimationbasedontheprioriinformationbetweenguidancevariablesandaerodynamicsarepresented.Firstly,theaerodynamicaccelerationactingonthetargetisanalyzedtorevealtheessenceofthetarget’smotion.Thenthreecoupledstructuresformodelingaerodynamicparametersaredevelopedbydifferentideas:thespiralmodelwithaharmonicoscillator,thebankmodelwithtrigonometricfunctionsofthebankangleandtheguidemodelwiththechangingruleofguidancevariables.Meanwhile,thecomparisondiscussionisconcludedtoshowthenoveltyandadvantageofthesemodels.Finally,aperformanceassessmentindifferentsimulationcasesispresentedanddetailedanalysisisrevealed.Theresultsshowthattheproposedmodelsperformexcellentproperties.Moreover,theguidemodelproducesthebesttrackingperformanceandthebankmodelshowsthesecond;however,thespiralmodeldoesnotoutperformthemaneuveringreentryvehicle(MaRV)modelmarkedly.
