Loadedonthecordierite,therareearthdopedcompositecatalystwaspreparedbysol-gelmethodcombinedwithdippingtechnique.TakingOrthodichlorobenzeneasmodel,thecatalystwasusedtoremovethedioxinsofthewastegas.Theresultsshowedthatat280℃andgasspacevelocitybeing8000h-1,theorthodichlorobenzenecouldberemovedeffectivilybythepreparedCeO2-TiO2-V2O5compositecatalystwhoseactivitywasremarkablyenhancedbythedopingofCe,whiletheindustrialside-streamtestofdioxinsfromrefuseincinerationsmokeindicatedthatthedecompositionratecouldreachabove93%underthesameconditions.
