简介:Thetwo-sidedLanczosmethodispopularforcomputingafewselectedeigentripletsoflargenon-Hermitianmatrices.However,ithasbeenrevealedthattheRitzvectorsgainedbythismethodmaynotconvergeevenifthesubspacesaregoodenoughandtheassociatedeigenvaluesconverge.Inordertoremedythisdrawback,anovelmethodisproposedwhichisbasedontherefinedstrategy,thequasi-refinedideaandtheLanczosbiothogonalizationprocedure,theresultingalgorithmispresented.Therelationshipbetweenthenewmethodandtheclassicalobliqueprojectiontechniqueisalsoestablished.Wereportsomenumericalexperimentsandcomparethenewalgorithmwiththeconventionalone,theresultsshowthattheformerisoftenmorepowerfulthanthelatter.
