Thestudyintroducesthechemicalcomposition,mechanicalproperties,physicalpropertiesandproductionprocessesoftheFe-23Mn-2Al-Vausteniticsteel.Investigationsweremadeintotheformationofcracksinthehot-rolledFe-23Mn-2Al-Vsteelplates,withopticalmicroscopy(OM),scanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM)andenergydispersivespectrum(EDS).Theresultshaveshownthatintergranularoxidationinthereheatingfurnaceisthemaincauseofthecracksonthesurfaceofthehot-rolledsteelplates.Thesurfacecrackingcanbelargelyavoidedbycontrollingtheremainingoxygencontentinthereheatingfurnaceandimprovingcontinuouscasting(CC)processestoincreasethethicknessoffineequiaxedgrainlayerofthesteelslabs.
