1. Significance of design management

Design competitiveness is regarded as a means of improving national competitiveness, and countries are carrying out a series of activities to improve design in order to enhance competitiveness. Strict control of the whole design process is a prerequisite for sustainable development, helps technological breakthroughs and product innovation, creates a healthy corporate culture, and enhances corporate cohesion and competitiveness.

Therefore, companies with big dreams should establish their own design management system according to their needs, adopt evidence-based decision-making methods, practice good product innovation, technological innovation and management innovation to ensure that the right things are done in the right way at the right time, and that the design concepts, values and management principles need to be presented in the form of internal standards and systems to realise the three main functions of guiding, motivating and correcting bias, to Ultimately, the company's vision is realised.

A company must have its own design strategy and manage it well. Design strategy is one of the components of enterprise management strategy, which is the overall planning for enterprises to make effective use of industrial design as a management resource, to improve product development capability, to enhance market competitiveness and to improve corporate image. Design strategy is a long-term planning and methodological strategy for design work made by the enterprise according to its own situation, and it is a planning for the development of the design department, as well as a guideline and directional requirement for design. Design strategy generally includes product design strategy, corporate image strategy, but also gradually penetrate into the enterprise's marketing design, business design, organisational design, business design and other aspects of the relationship with the management strategy more closely. The purpose of management is to make the various levels of design planning mutual unity and coherence.

2. The process and method of design management

The importance of product design and development lies in the use of the market, create value, create income, rich in guidance, planning and prediction, the source of the task is generally four aspects: 1) according to the company's strategic assessment and planning, market research and analysis, forecasting the demand for design and development; 2) through the sales department or the customer's demand for improvement of the product programme or picture provided by the customer, the rationalisation of factories Imitation; 3) After the development of production technology and the actual situation of the company's production, take the initiative to put forward the design intention to the sales department or sales staff, and management; 4) After the research and development of the state of the art of the industry and the company, to explore the possibility of creating new products, or secondary innovation of the original product. Detailed market research and rigorous project analysis is an indispensable and important part and guarantee before the start of project development. The use of Gantt charts, plan review analysis, matrix data analysis and other methods to plan for the development of identified projects are useful and necessary measures.

The essence of a company is organic collaboration based on a highly specialised pision of labour. A good "internal collaboration" mechanism can comprehensively co-ordinate resources such as technology, market, talent, culture and system to achieve good synergy and enable the company to give full play to the enormous energy of "complete innovation". This is the necessary way for enterprise development in the new period. Under the current competitive pressure, enterprises should introduce a corresponding project management mechanism and build a top-down scientific system to release the huge potential of project, innovation and management to achieve sustainable development. This will unleash the huge potential of projects, innovation and management for sustainable development.

Enterprises should build a standardised design system to effectively manage these processes, and solve the contradiction between market demand persification and manufacturing standardisation through the expansion of functional modules, design modules, combination reconstruction, module position change and replacement, and promote the process of design and production integration with the help of design software, grouping technology, and kneading order production to achieve the transformation and upgrading purpose. Further, the serial working mode between departments can be changed into a collaborative working mode, the integration of industrialisation and information technology, and through the standardised mode to solidify the innovative achievements and successful experiences.

3. Conclusion

Seek sustainable growth of the enterprise. In traditional economics and business management, enterprises are regarded as profit-maximising production organisations, and the pursuit of profit maximisation is the theme of the enterprise. This law is changing. The quest for short-term profit maximisation often kills the firm in the process. Today, with accelerating product, technology and knowledge innovation, the sustainability of business development is a major issue.

Information technology plays an important role in the corporate governance process. The use and integration of information technology can significantly change the way a firm operates. The development and application of information technology enables firms to develop and manage their business operations and business information efficiently in a process that effectively resolves many of the tensions between centralised and decentralised functions that could not be resolved by traditional methods. Integration allows enterprises to establish a resource allocation platform that centralises and unifies resource allocation. With the help of information technology, enterprises can establish supply and marketing chains, form strategic alliances, and achieve new organisational leaps through virtual organisational forms that transcend geographical, spatial and temporal boundaries.
