Theadsorptioncapabilityofloamsoilfornano-TiO2affectedbytheamountandintensityofleachedwaterhasbeeninvestigatedbysimulatingthenaturalrainfallprocessundertheleachingcondition.Theresultsshowthattheamountandtheintensityofleachedwateraretwoimportantfactorsaffectingtheadsorptioncapabilityofloamsoilfornano-TiO2.Theresultsindicatethatthedepthoftheloamsoilcontainingamaximalamountofnano-TiO2isproportionaltotheamountofleachedwater,whileitisinverselyproportionaltotheintensityofleachedwater,ataconstantamountoftheleachedwater.Itwasalsofoundthattheadsorptioncapabilityofsoilsfornano-TiO2canbeimprovedbyaddingothermaterials,suchasdissolvedorganicmatter(DOM),bentoniteandstraw.ItwasfoundthatDOMisthebestsorbentforimprovingtheadsorptioncapabilityofloamsoilfornano-TiO2,followedbybentonite,whilestrawisnotsuitableforthemodificationofloamsoil.Theimprovementofadsorptioncapabilityofloamsoildependsontheamountoftheseadditives.Nano-TiO2canbeeffectivelyadsorbedonthesurfacelayerofloamsoilcontaininganappropriateamountofadditive.
