Theplatformconsistsofthreelayers:themanagementservicelayeradministerstheinfrastructureofthewholeplatform;theintegrationservicelayerprovidesthecoreintegrationfunctionsandtheuserservicelayersatisfiestheenterpriseintegrationdemands.Forthepurposeofaccommodatingthecharacteristicsofmoldmakingcompanies,anevent-drivenenterpriseservicebusworkingastheheartoftheplatformisrealized.AprototypesystemcombiningWebservices,BusinessProcessExecutionLanguage(BPEL)andWebOntologyLanguage(OWL)isimplemented.Theclientsandsuppliersandtheapplicationsofmoldmakingcompanyareintegratedinaloosely-coupledwaythroughtheservicesprovidedbytheplatform.Meanwhilethesharingofdataandknowledge,andthecoordinationofbusinessprocessarerealized.Byadoptingtheplatform,anewapproachisprovidedtosolvetheproblemofdesignandmanufactureintegrationforintraandintermoldmakingcompanies.
