IntheexistingliteratureofRepairableQueueingSystems(RQS),i.e.,queueingsystemswithserverbreakdowns,itisalmostallassumedthatinterarrivaltimesofsuccessivecustomersareindependent,identicallyexponentiallydistributed.Inthispaper,wedealwithmoregenericsystemGI/PH/1withserver'sexponentialuptimeandphase-typerepairtime.Withmatrixanalysistheory,weestablishtheequilibriumconditionandthecharacteristicsofthesystem,derivethetransientandstationaryavailabilitybehaviorofthesystem.
