Acutepancreatitisduringpregnancyisarareevent,andcanbeassociatedwithhighmaternalmortalityandfetalloss.Gallstonediseaseisthoughttobethemostcommoncausativefactorofacutepancreatitis,but,inmanycases,thecauseremainsunclear.Wereportacaseofa36-year-oldwomanat35wkofgestation,whopresentedwithseverepainconfinedtotheupperabdomenandradiatingtotheback.Thepatientwasdiagnosedwithacuteidiopathicpancreatitis,whichwasmanagedconservatively;sherecoveredwithinseveraldaysandthendeliveredahealthybaby.Thereforeitisimportanttoconsideracutepancreatitiswhenapregnantwomanpresentswithupperabdominalpain,nauseaandvomitinginordertoimprovefetalandmaternaloutcomesforpatientswithacutepancreatitis.
