Objective:Tostudytheexpressionofactivatedepi-dermalgrowthfactorreceptor(EGFR)andtranscrip-tionfactorE2F(E2F)inCondylomaAccuminata(CA)patients.Methods:ImmunofluorescenttechniqueswereusedtoinvestigatetheexpressionofactivatedEGFRandE2FinCApatients.Results:TheexpressionofactivatedEGFRonthemembraneofepithelialcellsinCAlesionswassig-nificantlygreatercomparedtoexpressionleversinthecontrolgroup(P<0.01).Moreover,theco-expres-sionofactivatedEGFRandE2Fwassignificantlyin-creasedcomparedtothecontrolgroup(P<0.01).Conclusion:Ourobservationssuggestthatthein-creaseinactivatedEGFRexpressionmaystimulatehyperplasiainCApatientsthroughtheactivationoftranscriptionfactorE2F.
