Beampositioningstabilityinalaser-driveninertialconfinementfusion(ICF)facilityisavitalproblemthatneedstobefixed.Eachlaserbeaminthefacilityistransmittedinlotsofopticsforhundredsofmeters,andthentargetedinamicro-sizedpellettorealizecontrollablefusion.Anyturbulenceintheenvironmentinsuchlong-distancepropagationwouldaffectthedisplacementofopticsandfurtherresultinbeamfocusingandpositioningerrors.Thisstudyconcludedthattheerrorsoneachoftheopticscontributedtothetarget,anditpresentsanefficientmethodofenhancingthebeamstabilitybyeliminatingerrorsonerror-sensitiveoptics.Optimizationsoftheopticalsystemandmechanicalsupportingstructuresarealsopresented.
