Canonical logic units using bidirectional four-wave mixing in highly nonlinear fiber

All-opticalcanonicallogicunitsat40Gb/susingbidirectionalfour-wavemixing(FWM)inhighlynonlinearfiberareproposedandexperimentallydemonstrated.Cleartemporalwaveformsandcorrectpatternstreamsaresuccessfullyobservedintheexperiment.Thisschemecanreducetheamountofnonlineardevicesandenlargethecomputingcapacitycomparedwithgeneralones.ThenumericalsimulationsaremadetoanalyzetherelationshipbetweentheFWMefficiencyandthepositionoftwointeractionalsignals.
