Byscanningandtransmissionelectronmicroscopy,leukemlccelbwereobwrvedafterCFU-Mixculture.Eventhoughgranulocytlcgrowthfactor,erythropoietinandlymphocytlcgrowthfactorwereaddedatvitor,acuteleukemlccelbstillshoweddefectsIndifferentiationandmaturation.Thesewerecharacterizedbyabnormalcolonywhichconsistedofsmoothcells,bizarreshape,nuclear-cytoplasmicasynchronyIndevelopment,andappearanceofnuclearbleb.However,chronicmyelogenousleukemlccelbweremorenaturethantheacuteones,manifestinginnormalcolonywithfinger-likeprojectionsandruffledmembrane.Macrophagesandeosinophilscouldbeobserved.ItbsuggestedthattherebadifferenceIndifferentiationbetweenacuteandchronicleukemiacells.
