Basedontheanalysisoftheaveragedaxisymmetricturbulentflowandthemotionandgrowthofgasnucleiintheflow,thispaperpresentsamethodforpredictingcavitationin-ceptioninpipelines.MathematicmodelisproposedandthefluctuatingpressureintheflowandotherrandomfactorswithrespecttogasnucleiaretreatedusingtheMonte-Carlomethod.Sothatthebridgebetweenmacroscopicaspectofcavitationintheflowandthemicroscopiceventofinpidualnucleuscavitationissetup.Numericalinvestigationandexperimnentaltestarecarriedoutfortheflowpastanorificeinauniformpipewithcircularsection.
