Anoptimizedtransducerprototypewithasandwichstructurevibratedlongitudinallyisproposedforatransmitterinacousticlogging,especiallyinacousticloggingwhiledrilling,bytakingaccountofdrillingenvironmentswithhightemperatureandpressure,aswellasstrongcollardrillingvibrationduringthedrillingprocess.Aimedtoimprovethetransmittingperformance,numericalandexperimentalstudiesforthetransduceroptimizationareconducted.Theimpactoflocationandlengthofthepiezoelectricstackonresonancecharacteristicsandeffectiveelectromechanicalcouplingcoefficientiscalculatedandanalyzed.Admittanceandtransmittingperformanceoftheproposedtransduceraremeasuredinlaboratoryexperiments,andtheresultsarecomparedwithsimulatedones.Itisshownthatthenewlyproposedtransducerhashighertransmittingperformancewithlowerresonancefrequencies.Thisworkprovidestheoreticalandexperimentalbasesfortransducerdesigningandacousticwavemeasurementsinacousticlogging,especiallyinacousticloggingwhiledrilling.
