ThepresentstudywasdesignedtoinvestigatethechemicalconstituentsoftherootsofCudraniafruticosaWight.Compoundswereisolatedbyvariouscolumnchromatographicmethodsincludingsilicagel,polyamide,sephadexLH-20,andsemi-preparativeHPLC.Theirstructureswereelucidatedbyacombinationof1Dand2DNMRtechniques,massspectrometry,andchemicalmethods.Twonewxanthones,CudraxanthoneTandU(1-2),alongwithfourknowncompounds(3-6)wereisolatedfromtherootsofCudraniafruticosaWight.
