WestudiedthestatesofrareearthelementsinoreoftheXianglushanrareearthdeposit.Rareearthoresamplesweretestedandexaminedbyscanningelectronmicroscope,electronprobe,andchemicalleaching.Noindependentrareearthmineralsweredetectedbyscanningelectronmicroscope.Elementsdetectedbytheelectronicprobefortheinsitumicro-zoneofthesampleincluded:O,Al,Si,Ca,Mg,Fe,Ti,K,Na,S,Cl,C,Cu,Cr,V,andPt.Rareearthelementswerenotdetectedbyelectronprobe.(NH4)2SO4,(NH4)Cl,NaCl,andH2SO4wereusedasreagentsinchemicalleachingexperimentsthateasilyleachedoutrareearthelementsundertheactionof10%reagent,indicatingthattherareearthelementsinorearemainlyintheionicstateratherthanpresentasrareearthminerals.
