Inthispaper,weintroduceageneralframeworkfortrackinginleader-followersystemsundercommunicationconstraints,inwhichtheleaderandfollowersystemsaswellasthecorrespondingcontrollersarespatiallydistributedandconnectedovercommunicationlinks.Weprovidenecessaryconditionsonthechanneldatarateofeachcommunicationlinkfortrackingoftheleader-followersystems.Byconsideringtheforwardandfeedbackchannelsasonecascadechannel,wealsoprovidealowerboundforthedatarateofthecascadechannelforthesystemtotrackareferencesignalsuchthatthetrackingerrorhasfinitesecondmoment.Examplesandsimulationsareprovidedtodemonstratesomeoftheresults.
