简介:Withtheexplicitconsiderationofuserheterogeneity,i.e.,eachuserhasadifferentvalueoftime(VOT),thispaperexaminesthesystemefficiencyandsocialequityoftollrevenueredistributioninabi-modetransportationsystem.Threeschemesofdistributingtheroadtollrevenueareproposed,whichrespectivelyconsiderefficiency,equity,aswellasefficiencyandequitytogether.Withmildassumptions,weprovethatthenumberofauto-motoristsdecreasesandthetotalsocialcostincreaseswithtransitsubsidysharewhenonlymarginaloperatingcostofthetransitiscoveredbyitsfare.However,whenaveragefixedcostofthetransitisfurthercovered,thetotalsocialcostisa'U'shapecurveagainstthetransitsubsidyshare.Numericalresultsshowthatthewelldesignedtollrevenueredistributionschemescanmakethesystemmoreequitablewhilekeepinghighefficiency.Withtheincreaseofuserheterogeneity,theGinicoefficientbecomeslargerwhilethetotalsocialcostgoesdown.
