  • 简介:TheRelationshipbetweensexratioatage0to4andaltitudeinChinaisquantitativelyinvestigatedbyusingGeographicalInformationSystem(GIS)technologyinthispaper.Theresultsshowthatthecountieswithhighsexratioatage0to4in1990and2000aremainlydistributedontheeastofthewell-knownChinesepopulationdivision,Anhui-Tengchongline,andthereishighnegativecorrelationbetweensexratioatage0to4andaltitudeinChinesecounties.Therearehighestsexratioatage0to4intheregionsunder100meters,butthisratioover3200metersfallsintothenormalrange.Andthesexratioatage0to4continuestofalldownwhenthealtituderises.Sothegeographicalenvironmentevidentlyaffectsthesexratioatbirth.Thereishighersexratioatbirthinlower-altituderegions.Theeffectwithaltitudemaybeassociatedwiththeambienttempeture.

  • 简介:Inthispaper,weconsiderthespectrumsharingCognitiveRadio(CR)system,whereinSingle-InputMulti-Output(SIMO)cognitivefadingchannelisassumed.Subjecttotheaveragein-terferenceconstraintofprimaryuser,theergodiccapacityofcognitiveuserinvolvingjointbeamformingandpowercontrolisanalyzed.Wederivetheoptimaljointbeamformingandpowercontrolstrategyanddeducethegeneralintegralexpressionforergodiccapacity.Furthermore,underdifferentchannelfadingsincludingRaleighfading,Nakagami-mfadingandLognormalshadowingfading,thespecificexpressionsofergodiccapacityforSIMOcognitivechannelareexhibited.Mostoftheexpressionsarepresentedinclosed-formorwithsomespecialintegralfunctions.Largeamountofsimulationsareconductedtocorroborateourtheoreticalresults.

  • 简介:BasedontrawlsurveysintheBeringSeaandChukchiSeaduringthe2010ChineseNationalArcticResearchExpedition,fishbiodiversitycharacteristics,suchasfishcomposition,dominantspecies,biodiversity,andfaunalcharacteristicswereconducted.WealsodiscussedtheresponsesoffishestothequickchangesinArcticclimate.Theresultsshowedthatatotalof41speciesin14familieswererecordedinthesewaters.ThedominantspecieswereHippoglossoidesrobustus,Boreogadussaida,Myoxocephalusscorpius,Lumpenusfabricii,andArtediellusscaber.Therewere35coldwaterspecies,accountingfor85.37%,andsixcoldtemperatespecies,occupying14.63%.Thehabitattypesoffishcouldbegroupedasfollows:35speciesofdemersalfishes,fivebenthopelagicfishes,andonepelagicfish.TheShannon–Wienerdiversityindex(H)(rangebetween0and2.18,1.21onaverage)wasnothigh,anddescendedfromsouthtonorth.ClimatechangehascausedsomefishestoshiftalongtheirlatitudinalandlongitudinaldistributionaroundtheArcticandSubarcticareas,andthiscouldleadtothedeclineofArcticfisheryresources.

  • 简介:WeinvestigatedthecompositionofplantcommunitiestoquantifytheirrelationshipswithenvironmentalparametersintheChitralHindukushrangeofPakistan.WesampledtreevegetationusingthePointCenteredQuarter(PCQ)methodwhileunderstoryvegetationwassampledin1.5-mcircularquadrats.CedrusdeodaraisthenationalsymbolofPakistanandwasdominantinthesampledcommunities.Becauseenvironmentalvariablesdeterminevegetationtypes,weanalyzedandevaluatededaphicandtopographicfactors.DCA-Ordinationshowedthemajorgradientasanamalgamofelevation(p〈0.05)andslope(p〈0.01)asthetopographicfactorscorrelatedwithspeciesdistribution.SoilvariableswerethefactorsofenvironmentalsignificancealongDCAaxes.However,amongthesefactors,Mg2+,K+andN2+contributednotmorethan0.054%0.20%and0.073%,respectively,tovariationalongthefirstordinationaxis.Weconcludethattheprincipalreasonforweakornocorrelationwithmanyedaphicvariableswastheanthropogenicdisturbanceofvegetation.Theunderstoryvegetationwascomposedofperennialherbsinmostcommunitiesandwasmostdenseunderthetreecanopy.Theunderstoryvegetationstronglyregulatestreeseedlinggrowthandregenerationpatterns.Werecommendfurtherstudyoftheunderstoryvegetationusingpermanentplotstoaiddevelopmentofforestregenerationstrategies.

  • 简介:Althoughchemicalcontrolofpestsincreasescropproduction,itbringsalotofdamagetoenvironmentandhumanhealth.Thereexistanumberofalternativemethodsthatarenotsoharmfultoenvironmentandhumanhealth.However,whetherandhowmuchinextentthesetechnologiesadoptedareplausibledependsonthecomparisonofbenefit-costbetweenchemicalcontrolandthealternativecontrolmethods(suchasIntegratedPestManagement,IPM)andfarmers'willingness-to-pay(WTP)forenvirormentandhumanhealth.Usingcontingentvaluationmethod(CVM),theauthorinvestigatesfarmers'WTPforenvironmentandhumanhealth,recognizesthefactorsinfluencingWTP,andaccordinglypointsouttheimportanceofpestcontroltechnologyextensionandgovernmentregulationofpesticides.

  • 简介:Toremovethescatteringeffectofthedisturbingsoundonthetargetsourcewhenimplementingnearfieldacousticholographyinanon-freefield,afreefieldrecoverytechniquebasedonthesphericalwavesuperpositionmethodisproposed.Inthemethod,thesoundfieldseparationtechniquebasedonthesphericalwavesuperpositionmethodisfirstusedtoseparatetheincomingandoutgoingfields,andafurtherstepforseparatingtheradiatedandscatteredfieldsisperformedbyutilizingthesurfaceadmittanceofthetargetsourceastheboundaryconc1ition.Thetechniquemakesitpossibletocorrectlyidentifynoisesourcesinanon-freesoundfeld.Thebasicprincipleofthetechniqueisdescribedfirstly,amethodforchoosingtheoptimalnumberofsphericalwaveexpansiontermsisgiven,andtwonumericalsimulationsareusedtodemonstratethevalidityofthistechnique.Itisshownthat,forthelowerfrequency,thescatteringeffectcanbeneglected,andtheradiatedfieldofthetargetsourcecanbeobtainedbythesoundfieldseparationtechnique,however,astheincreasingofthefrequcncy,thescatteringeffcctcannotbeneglected,andthefrecfieldrecoverytechniquehastobeusedtoobtaintheradiatedfieldofthetargetsource.

  • 简介:Basedonthecharacteristicsofwaves,tidalcurrents,sedimentandseabedevolutionintheCaofeidianseaareaintheBohaiBay,a2Dsedimentmathematicalmodelofwavesandtidalcurrentsisemployedtostudythedevelopmentschemesoftheharbor.Verificationofspringandneaptidalcurrentsandsedimentinthewinterandsummerof2006showsthatthecalculatedvaluesoftidalstagesaswellasflowvelocities,flowdirectionsandsedimentconcentrationof15synchronousverticallinesareingoodagreementwiththemeasureddata.Also,depositionanderosionoftheseaareainfrontofCaofeidianoreterminalinducedbysuspendedloadundertidalcurrentsandwavesareverified;itshowsthatthecalculatedvaluesofdepthofdepositionanderosionaswellastheirdistributionareclosetothemeasureddata.Furthermore,effectsofreclamationschemeofislandinfrontofthelandbehindCaofeidianharboronthehydrodynamicenvironmentarestudied,includingchangesofflowvelocitiesinthedeepchannelsatthesouthsideofCaofeidianforelandandLaolonggouandinvariousharborbasins,aswellaschangesofdepositionanderosionofseabedinducedbytheproject.
