简介:Startingfromnonlinearequationsonthef-planecontainingfrictionaldissipationundertheBoussinesqapproximation,anewkindofgeneralizedenergyisproposedastheLyapunovfunction,andaveragesaretakenasanyfunctionsof(x,z)insteadofthecommonly-usedmeansofbilinearfunctionsof(x,z),therebyresultinginanewcriterionofgeneralizednonlinearsymmetricstability.Itshowsthatnotonlymustthedissipativecoefficientbegreaterthanacertaincriticalvaluebuttheinitialdisturbanceamplitudemustbesynchronouslysmallerthananothermarginalvalueaswell.Itfollowsthatthelatterimposesacrucialconstraintontheformer,thusleadingtothefactthatwhentheamplitudeisbiggercomparedtoanothercriticalvalue,generalizednonlinearsubcriticalsymmetricalinstabilitymayoccur.Thenewcriterioncontributesgreatlytotheimprovementofthepreviousresultsofitskind.

简介:Usingtime-dependentcompressiblelaminarNavier-Stokesequationswithafinitevolumemethodincorporatingathird-order-accuratediscretizationscheme,theflowstructuresaroundaslenderatcertainincidencesarenumericalsimulatedandtypicalcrossflowpatternsarepresented.Atincidence10°,thesevorticalconfigurationsaredifferentatdissimilaraxiallocationsthoughtheyaresymmetric.At35°,thesymmetricvorticalstructuresstillmaintainovertheslender,yettheirinteractionatafterbodyisintensethanthatattheforebodysincethetwovorticeshavefullydevelopeddownstream.Theunstabletopologicalstructureoftrajectoryofsaddle-to-saddlepointsandmultiplelimitcyclearefurtherdiscussedintopologicalstabilitytheory.Thesestructureseasilyproducebifurcationwithperturbation.Theresultssupporttheviewofhydrodynamicinstabilityofvorticesflowfield.
简介:Thispaperpresentsatheoreticalsolutionforthebasicequationofaxisymmetricproblemsinelastodynamics.Thesolutioniscomposedofaquasi-staticsolutionwhichsatisfiesinhomogeneousboundaryconditionsandadynamicsolutionwhichsatisfieshomogeneousboundaryconditions.Afterthequasi-staticso-lutionhasbeenobtainedaninhomogeneousequationfordynamicsolutionisfoundfromthebasicequation.Bymakinguseofeigenvalueproblemofacorrespondinghomogeneousequation,afiniteHankeltransformisdefined.AdynamicsolutionsatisfyinghomogeneousboundaryconditionsisobtainedbymeansofthefiniteHankeltransformandLaplacetransform.Thus,anexactsolutionisobtained.Throughanexampleofhollowcylindersunderdynamicload,itisseenthatthemethod,andtheprocessofcomputingaresimple,effectiveandaccurate.
