  • 简介:Theskyradianceanddegreeofpolarizationwithmultiplescatteringprocessconsideredwerecalculatedinthispaperbysolvingvectorformradiativetransferequationiteratively.Numericalexperimentforsimultaneouslyretrivingthesizedistribution(SD)andthecomplexrefractiveindex(CRI)ofaerosolparticlewasconductedwiththedegreeofpolarizationofskylight(DPS)andthelibrarymethodused.ItisshownfromtheresultsthattherealpartofCRIisalwayssensitivetoDPS.ButsituationissomewhatcomplicatedfortheimaginarypartofCRI.Therefore,itisexpectedthattherealpartofCRIcanberetrievedfromDPSanditsimaginarypartshouldberetrievedastheparticleislargeinsize.Inthispaper,sevensetsofDPSmeasurementson6January,1990inBeijingweregivenandtheopticalcharacteristicsofaerosolwereretrieved.

  • 简介:ThispaperpresentsapreliminaryresultontheretrievalofatmosphericozoneprofilesusinganimprovedregressiontechniqueandutilizingthedatafromtheAtmosphericInfraRedSounder(AIRS),ahyper-spectralinstrumentexpectedtobeflownontheEOS-AQUAplatformin2002.SimulatedAIRSspectrawereusedtostudythesensitivityofAIRSradianceonthetroposphericandstratosphericozonechanges,andtostudytheimpactofvariouschannelcombinationsontheozoneprofileretrieval.SensitivitystudyresultsindicatethattheAIRShighresolutionspectralchannelsbetweenthewavenumber650-800cm-1provideveryusefulinformationtoaccuratelyretrievetroposphericandstratosphericozoneprofiles.EigenvectordecompositionofAIRSspectraindicatethatnomorethan100eigenvectorsareneededtoretrieveveryaccurateozoneprofiles.TheaccuracyoftheretrievedatmosphericozoneprofilefromthepresenttechniqueandutilizingtheAIRSdatawascomparedwiththeaccuracyobtainedfromcurrentAdvancedTIROSOperationalVerticalSounder(ATOVS)dataaboardNationalOceanicandAtmosphericAdministration(NOAA)satellites.Asexpected,acomparisonofretrievalresultsconfirmsthattheozoneprofileretrievedwiththeAIRSdataissuperiortothatofATOVS.

  • 简介:ThePearlRiverEstuaryarea,locatedinthemiddlepartofthesouthernChinacoastalseismicbelt,haslongbeenconsideredapotentialsourceofstrongearthquakesabovemagnitude7.0.Toscientificallyassessthepotentialstrongearthquakeriskinthisarea,athree-dimensionalartificialseismicsoundingexperiment,consistingofareceivingarrayandseabedseismograph,wasperformedtorevealthedeepcrustalstructureinthisregion.Weusedartificialship-borneair-gunexcitationshotsassources,andfixedandmobilestationsasreceiverstorecordseismicdatafromMaytoAugust2015.ThispaperpresentsresultsalongalinefromthewesternsideofthePearlRiverEstuarytothewesternsideoftheBaijing-Gaoming-Jinwanprofile.Atwo-dimensionalvelocitystructurewasconstructedusingseismictravel-timetomography.TheinversionresultsshowthattheMohodepthis27kminthecoastalareaand30kminthenorthwestofthePearlRiverEstuaryarea,indicatingthatthecrustthinsfromlandtosea.Twostructuraldiscontinuitiesandmultiplelow-velocityanomaliesappearinthecrustalsection.Insidebothdiscontinuityzones,alow-velocitylayer,withaminimumvelocityof6.05kms?1,existsatadepthofabout15km,andanother,withaminimumvelocityof6.37kms?1,existsatadepthofabout21.5kmbetweenthemiddleandlowercrust.Theselowvelocitiessuggestthatthediscontinuitiesmayconsistofpartlymoltenmaterial.Earthquakeswithmagnitudeshigherthan5.0occurredinthelow-velocitylayeralongtheprofile.ThedeepKaiping-Enpingfault,rootedinthecrust,maybeoneofthemostimportantchannelsfordeepmaterialupwellingandisrelatedtotectonicmovementsincetheCretaceousinthePearlRiverDeltatectonicriftbasin.

  • 简介:TheDeepSeismicSounding(DSS)projectscarriedoutfromthe1970sinthelowerYangtzeregionanditsneighboringareawerereviewedinthispaper,thenthebasicwavegroupfeaturesofthosewideanglereflection/refractionrecordsections,andofthecrustalstructurearesummarized.Itshowsthattherewereintotalfiveclearwavegroupsontherecordsections,whichincludethefirstarrivalPg,thereflectionP1fromthebottominterfaceoftheuppercrust,thereflectionP3fromthebottominterfaceofthemiddlecrust,thestrongreflectionPmfromtheMohoboundary,andtherefractionPnfromuppermostmantle.Ingeneral,thesephasesareeasilyconsistentlytracedandcompared,despitesomefirstarrivalsbeingdelayedorarrivingearlierthannormalduetotheshallowsedimentarycoverorbedrocks.Inparticular,intheDabieMountainregiontheseismiceventsofafewgatheredshotsalwayshaveweakreflectionenergy,aretwisted,orexhibitdisorganizedwaveforms,whichcouldbeattributedtothedisruptionvariationsofreflectiondepth,thebrokenMoho,andthediscontinuityofthereflectionboundarywithincrust.Theregionalcrustalstructuresarecomposedoftheupper,middleandlowercrust,ofwhichthemiddleandlowerlayerscanbedividedintotwoweakreflectionones.ThecrustalthicknessoftheNorthChinaandYangtzeplatformare30km-36km,andtheMohoexhibitsaflatgeometrydespitesomelocaluplifts.Theaveragepressurevelocityinlowercrustbeneaththistwotectonicareais6.7±0.3km/s.Nevertheless,beneaththeDabieshanareathecrustalthicknessis32km-41km,theMohobendsdownsharplyandtakesanabrupt4km-7kmdislocationintheverticaldirection.TheaveragepressurevelocityinthelowercrustbeneaththeDabieshanareais6.8±0.2km/s.
