  • 简介:Wereportanopticallyaddressedliquidcrystallightvalve,ahome-madedevicethathassolvedtheproblemoflowtransmittancecausedbyopaqueelectrodesinpresenttransmissivespatiallightmodulators.Theoperatingcharacteristicofthelightvalveisanalyzed.Theoptimumdrivingvoltageofthisdeviceis27Vat300Hz,asdeducedfromtheequivalentelectricmodel.Itstransmittancereaches80%anditscontrastisapproximately40:1.Itsdynamicperformance,especiallyitsabilitytoobscurelaserlightatprogrammedlocations,isdemonstrated.Theresultsareingoodagreementwiththedesiredshape,whichindicatesthatourlightvalveperformsverywell.
