简介:Inthispaper,anIndependentWindow-Access(IWA)schemeisproposed,andtheperformanceofaninput-bufferedATMswitchingfabricwiththeIWAschemeisanalysedbymeansofaprobabilitygeneratingfunctionapproach,theclosedformulasoftheaveragecelldelayandthemaximumthroughputaregiven,andresultsshowthattheIWAschememakestheswitchingfabrichavebetterperformancesthantraditionalwindow-accessscheme.Thecomputersimulationresultsareingoodagreementwiththeseanalyticalresults.
