简介:OrthogonalFrequencyDivisionMultiplexing(OFDM)systemissensitivetoCarrierFrequencyOffset(CFO).Inthispaper,traditionalMaximumLikelihoodEstimators(MLE)forCFOofOFDMareintroducedfirst.Then,averagingmethodandα-filterareintroducedasLowPassFilter(LPF)toimprovetheperformanceofcyclicprefixestimator.ThebandwithofLPFisdeterminedbythecoherencetimeofradiochannel.Estimationperformanceinmultipathchannelisanalyzed.Outlierpicking-outschemeisproposedtoimproveperformancefurther.Performanceofclose-loopstructureispresentedbriefly,whichisworsethanthatofopen-loopstructure.Finally,aparallelswitchstructureoffrequencysynchronizerisproposedformobileOFDMsystems.Theschemeexploitstrainingsequenceandcyclicprefix.Theproposedsynchronizerhasawideacquisitionrange.ItisaccurateandrobustinbothAWGNchannelandmultipathchannels.Thecomplexityislowduetofunctionalityofα-filter.AbetterperformanceoffrequencysynchronizationisobtainedcomparingtothatofexistingMaximumLikelihoodEstimator(MLEs).Weachievetheseadvantageswithoutlossofbandwidthefficiency.
简介:OneoftheprincipaldisadvantagesofOrthogonalFrequencyDivisionMultiplexing(OFDM)isverysensitivetocarrierfrequencyoffset.Theintegerfrequencyoffsethasnoeffectontheorthogonalityamongthesubcarriers,butitcausesacircularshiftandphaserotationofthereceiveddatasymbolssequence,resultinginaBitErrorRate(BER)of0.5.Inthispaper,anovelintegerfrequencyoffsetestimatorforOFDMisderivedbasedonmaximumlikelihoodestimationtechniqueandexplorationofthedifferentialrelationbetweentwoconsecutiveOFDMdatasymbolsequencesinfrequencydomain.ItsperformanceiscomparedwiththeconventionalmethodbycomputersimulationsfortheadditivewhiteGaussiannoisechannelandamultipathfadingchannel.Simulationresultsshowthattheperformanceoftheproposedestimatorisbetterthantheconventionalestimator.
