简介:Inthisstudy,weconsidertheemergenceofexplosivesynchronizationinscale-freenetworksbycon-sideringtheKuramotomodelofcoupledphaseoscillators.Thenaturalfrequenciesofoscillatorsareassumedtobecorrelatedwiththeirdegreesandfrustrationisincludedinthesystem.Thisassumptioncanenhanceordelaytheexplosivetransitiontosynchronization.Interestingly,ade-synchronizationphenomenonoccursandthetypeofphasetransitionisalsochanged.Furthermore,weprovideanana-lyticaltreatmentbasedonastargraph,whichresemblesthatobtainedinscale-freenetworks.Finally,aself-consistentapproachisimplementedtostudythede-synchronizationregime.Ourfindingshaveimportantimplicationsforcontrollingsynchronizationincomplexnetworksbecausefrustrationisacontrollableparameterinexperimentsandadiscontinuousabruptphasetransitionisalwaysdangerousinengineeringintherealworld.

简介:Grapheneisthestrongestmaterialbutitsperformanceissignificantlyweakenedbyvacancydefects.Weusemoleculardynamicssimulationstoinvestigatethetensilebehaviorofagraphenewhichcontainsasinglevacancydefect.Ourresultssuggestthatbecauseofthesinglevacancy,thefracturestrengthofgraphenelossesabout17.7%.Thestressconcentrationaroundthevacancydefectleadstothedestructionofnearbysix-memberringsstructure,whichformstheinitialcrack.Thepropagationdirectionofthiscrackindefectivegrapheneisatanangleof60°tothetensiledirectioninitially,butthenbecomesperpendiculartothetensiledirection.

简介:AnSMIBmodelinthepowersystems,especiallythatconceringtheeffectsofhardlimitsonbifurcations,chaosandstabilityisstudied.Parameterconditionsforbifurcationsandchaosintheabsenceofhardlimitsarecomparedwiththoseinthepresenceofhardlimits.Ithasbeenprovedthathardlimitscanaffectsystemstability.Wefindthat(1)hardlimitscanchangeunstableequilibriumintostableone;(2)hardlimitscanchangestabilityoflimitcyclesinducedbyHopfbifurcation;(3)persistenceofhardlimitscanstabilizedivergenttrajectorytoastableequilibriumorlimitcycle;(4)HopfbifurcationoccursbeforeSNbifurcation,sothesystemcollapsecanbecontrolledbeforeHopfbifurcationoccurs.Wealsofindthatsuitablelimitingvaluesofhardlimitscanenlargethefeasibilityregion.Theseresultsarebasedontheoreticalanalysisandnumericalsimulations,suchasconditionforSNBandHopfbifurcation,bifurcationdiagram,trajectories,Lyapunovexponent,Floquetmultipliers,dimensionofattractorandsoon.
