简介:Toevaluatetheinfluenceofosteoporosisonthemiddleandlateperiodsoffracturehealingprocessthroughobservingthehistomorphologicalchanges,honemineraldensityandbiomechanicalpropertiesinovariectomizedrats.Methods:Eighty-fourfemaleSDratsof4monthsoldwererandomlydividedintoosteoporosisgroupandshamoperationgroup,42ineach.Ratsinosteoporosisgroupwereperformedovariectomyoperationwhilethoseinshamoperationgroupweregivenshamoperation.Amidshafttibiafracturemodelwasestablished10weeksafterovariectomy.Tibiaswereharvested2,4,6,12,18weeksafterfractureforbonemineraldensity,histomorphologicalandbiomechanicalevaluation.Results:Comparedwiththeshamoperationgroup,callusbonemineraldensitywas12.8%,18.0%,17.0%lowerinosteoporosisgroup6,12,18weeksafterfracture,respectively(P<0.05);callusfailureloadwas24.3%,31.5%,26.6%,28.8%lowerinosteoporosisgroup,andcallusfailurestresswas23.9%,33.6%,19.1%,24.9%lowerinosteoporosisgroup4,6,12,18weeksafterfracture,respectively(P<0.05).Inosteoporosisgroup,endochondralboneformationwasdelayed,moreosteoclastcellscouldbeseenaroundthetrabecula,andthenewbonetrabeculaarrangedlooselyandirregularly.Conclusions:Osteoporosisinfluencesthemiddleandlateperiodsoffracturehealingintheratosteoporoticmodel.Theimpairmentisconsideredtobetheresultofcombinedeffectsofprolongedendochondralcalcification,highactivatedosteoclastcellandthedecelerationoftheincreaseinbonemineraldensity.
