简介：RecentarticlespublishedinNaturepointouthowsexbias,primarilyconcerningmale-exclusivity,inbiologicalresearchresultinmisleadingandambiguousscience.1-4Forexample,themajorityofanimalstudiespublishedinacademicjournalsusedonlymales,whileonlyverylimitedstudieswereinvestigatedinfemalesorbothsexes.Theconsequencesofsuchmale-favoredsexbiasinbiomedicalstudieshadleadtoahugecostinthebiomedicalindustryincludingdrugdevelopment.Between1997and2001,eightoutof10prescriptiondrugswerewithdrawnfromthemarketbytheUSFDAbecausetheyshowedmoresideeffects
