简介:ForBose-Einsteincondensationofneutralatomsinanisotropictrapsatzerotemperature,wepresentsimpleanalyticalmethodsforcomputingthepropertiesofgroundstateandsinglevortexofBose-Einsteincondensates,andcomparethoseresultstoextensivenumericalsimulations.Thecriticalangularvelocityforproductionofvorticesiscalculatedforbothpositiveandnegativescatteringlengthsa,andfindananalyticalexpressionforthelarge-Nlimitofthevortexcriticalangularvelocityfora>0,andthecriticalnumberforcondensatepopulationapproachesthepointofcollapsefora<0,byusingapproximatevariationalmethod.
