Study on Flow Field Around Vertical Breakwater Under Different Overtopping Conditions Based on Numerical Simulation

摘要 AnumericalwaveflumeisconstructedbasedontheReynoldsAveragedNavier-Stokes(RANS)equationswithturbulenceclosurebyamodifiedk-εmodeltostudytheviscousinteractionsofwaveswithverticalbreakwatersfordifferentovertoppingcases.Thegoverningequations,theturbulencemodel,boundaryconditions,andsolutionmethodforthenumericalwaveflumeareintroducedbriefly.Thereliabilityofthenumericalwaveflumeisexaminedbycomparingthenumericalresultswiththeexperimentalmeasurements,andgoodagreementsbetweenthemindicatethevalidityofthepresentmodel.Thedevelopmentsofmeanvelocityfields,thecontoursofvorticity,andtheinfluencesofwavenonlinearityonturbulencefieldaswavepassingthroughverticalbreakwatersarediscussedindetailbasedonthenumericalresults.Itisnotedthatthevorticesattherearofthelowersubmergedbreakwaterareclosetothebottomandmaybeinducethescouringtotheleesidetoeofmarinestructureinpractice.Overall,aconclusioncanbeobtainedfromthisstudythattheturbulenceinwavefieldaroundstructureisinduceddirectlybythedevelopmentofboundarylayeronthesolidboundary,thenonlinearinteractionoffreesurfacewithobstacle,andtheplungingofovertoppingwaves.
