In-situ Monitoring of Hydration Kinetics of Cement Pastes by Low-field NMR

摘要 LowfieldNMRtechniquewasappliedtoinvestigatethehydrationofcementpasteswithdifferentwatertocementratiosoradditionofsuperplasticizer.Asanondestructivemethod,thistechniquecanbeusedtomonitorthehydrationkineticsprocessbyfollowingthechangesoflongitudinalrelaxationtime(T1)ofwaterconstrainedinthepastes.TheexperimentalresultsindicatethattheT1distributionsofwaterinthefreshpastenormallyexhibitebimodaldistribution,wherethelargepeakiscorrespondingtothefreewaterwhilethesmalloneiscontributedbythewaterstoredintheflocculations.TimedependenceoftheweightedaverageT1hasagoodagreementwiththehydrationprocessandcouldbedividedintofourstages,ie,initialperiod,dormantperiod,acceleratedperiodandsteadyperiod.Thehydrationmechanismofeachstagewasdescribedbasedonthetheoryofcementchemistry.Inaddition,thetotalsignalintensity,whichisproportionaltothecontentofthephysicallyboundwaterinthesamples,decreasesuccessivelyduringthehydrationreflectingtheconsumptionofphysicallyboundwaterbyhydrationreactions.
