VALIDATION STUDY ON THE EAST ASIAN CLIMATE SIMULATED BY CCM2-中国期刊网

摘要 TheNCARcommunityclimatemodelwasrunfor20yearsandthesimulatedEastAsianclimatewasanalyzedandcheckedagainsttheobservationdata.Itisfoundthatthelarge-scalefeaturesoftheEastAsiaclimateweresimulatedprettywellbythemodel,thoughtherearestillsomediscrepanciesbetweenthemodeloutputandtheobservation.Thesimulatedgeopotentialheight,windandtemperaturefieldsareveryclosetotheobservations.Thelargescalesystemssuchassubtropicalhigh.Mongoliahigh,IndianlowwhichhaveimportantinfluenceontheEastAsiamonsoonalsosimulatedprettywell.Itisalsofoundthatthemoisturefieldisnotsimulatedsowellasthosefieldsmentionedabove.Thesimulatedprecipitationisratherdifferentfromtheobservations.ThesesuggestthatsomephysicalprocessesintheCCM2needtobeimproved.
