A Comparative Study of China＇s Foreign Aid

摘要 ChinesedevelopmentassistanceistotallydifferentinnatureincomparisonwiththeaidofferedbytheUnitedStatesandJapan.TheU.S.seesitsaidasaformof'mercy'toless-developedcountriesandgivesitwithnumerousconditionsattached.Japanseemstomainlyuseittopursuecommercialinterests.Bycontrast,Chineseaidis,inessence,cooperationandmutualsupportbetweendevelopingcountries.ThisfundamentaldifferencehelpstoexplainwhyBeijing'saidissodifferentfromthatoftheWesterndonors.
