Ferrofluid magnetoviscous control of wall flow channeling in oorous media

摘要 Weanalyzedthephenomenonofferrofluidmagnetoviscosityinhigh-permeabilitywall-regionnon-magneticporousmediaoftheMullerkind.Afterupscalingthepore-levelferrohydrodynamicmodel,weobtainedasimplifiedvolume-averagezero-orderaxisymmetricmodelfornon-Darcynon-turbulentflowofsteady-stateisothermalincompressibleNewtonianferrofluidsthroughaporousmediumexperiencingexternalconstantbulk-floworientedgradientmagneticfield,ferrofluidself-consistentdemagnetizingfieldandinducedmagneticfieldinthesolid.Themodelwasexploredincontextsplaguedbywallflowmaldistributionduetolowcolumn-to-particlediameterratios.Itwasshownthatforpropermagneticfieldarrangement,wallchannelingcanbereducedbyinflatingwallflowresistancethroughmagnetovisco-thickeningandKelvinbodyforcedensitywhichrerouteafractionofwallflowtowardsbedcore.
