OBLIQUE PROJECTION REALIZATION OF A KERNEL-BASED NONLINEAR DISCRIMINATOR-中国期刊网

摘要 Previously,anovelclassifiercalledKernel-basedNonlinearDiscriminator(KND)wasproposedtodiscriminateapatternclassfromotherclassesbyminimizingmeaneffectofthelatter.Toconsidertheeffectofthetargetclass,thispaperintroducesanobliqueprojectionalgorithmtodeterminethecoefficientsofaKNDsothatitisextendedtoanewversioncalledextendedKND(eKND).IneKNDconstruction,thedesiredoutputvectorofthetargetclassisobliquelyprojectedontotherelevantsubspacealongthesubspacerelatedtootherclasses.Inaddition,asimpletechniqueisproposedtocalculatetheassociatedobliqueprojectionoperator.ExperimentalresultsonhandwrittendigitrecognitionshowthatthealgorithmperformesbetterthanaKNDclassifierandsomeothercommonlyusedclassifiers.
