摘要 Itiswidelyrecognizedthatexchange,distribution,andintegrationofbiologicaldataarethekeystoimprovebioinformaticsandgenomebiologyinpost-genomicera.However,theproblemofexchangingandintegratingbiologicaldataisnotsolvedsatisfactorily.TheeXtensibleMarkupLanguage(XML)israpidlyspreadingasanemergingstandardforstructuringdocumentstoexchangeandintegratedataontheWorldWideWeb(WWW).WebserviceisthenextgenerationofWWWandisfoundedupontheopenstandardsofW3C(WorldWideWebConsortium)andIETF(InternetEngineeringTaskForce).ThispaperpresentsXMLandWebServicestechnologiesandtheiruseforanappropriatesolutiontotheproblemofbioinformaticsdataexchangeandintegration.
