Study on the Relationship Between Recent Crustal Deformation and the Temporal-Spatial Distribution of Strong Earthquakes （ Ms≥ 6.0） in the Sichuan-Yunnan Region-中国期刊网

摘要 Analysisofdeformationdatameasuredacrossthefaults,regionalverticaldeformationdataandGPSmeasurementsintheSichuan-Yunnanregionmadesincethe1980spermittedustoconcludethatthecrustaldeformationintheregionduringthisperiodoftimewasrelativelyweakandcausedtheoccurrenceofearthquakes(Ms≥6.0),whichwerenotdistributedalongthemajorboundaryactivefaultsintheregionafterthe1981DawuMs6.9earthquakeandthattheseismicactivityischaracterizedbyquasi-clockwisemigration.Thus,itfollowsthatearthquakepredictionresearchshouldbefocusedonthecentralpartoftheSichuan-Yunnanregioninthecomingyears.Finally,aconceptoftemporaldivisionoftheregionintoactiveblocksissuggestedandthepreliminaryresultofthedivisionisgiveninthepaper.
