摘要
Spatialapplicationswillgainhighcomplexityasthevolumeofspatialdataincreasesrapidly.Asuitabledataprocessingandcomputinginfrastructureforspatialapplicationsneedstobeestablished.Overthepastdecade,gridhasbecomeapowerfulcomputingenvironmentfordataintensiveandcomputingintensiveapplications.Integratinggridcomputingwithspatialdataprocessingtechnology,theauthorsdesignedaspatialdataprocessinggrid(calledSDPG)toaddresstherelatedproblems.RequirementsofspatialapplicationsareexaminedandthearchitectureofSDPGisdescribedinthispaper.KeytechnologiesforimplementingSDPGarediscussedwithemphasis.
