A Study on Business Succession in Small and Medium-Sized Chinese Enterprises-中国期刊网

摘要 ThesurvivalanddevelopmentofSMEs(smallandmediumenterprises)isanimportantissuefortheChineseeconomy.Inparticular,businesssuccessioninSMEsisapersistentissue.Businesssuccessioninvolvesselectionofasuccessor,assetinheritance,transferofmanagementrights,accumulationofbusinessconnectionsandtechnologysuccession,andsoforth.Thisallrequiressmoothexecutionofabusinesssuccessionplan.However,manySMEsdonothaveabusinesssuccessionplan,noraretheypreparingone.Ourtaskistoexplorethereasonsthesepreparationsarenotbeingmade.Here,thepurposeofourresearchistogetapictureofthestatusofpreparationsforbusinesssuccessioninSMEsinChina,andtheactualcircumstancesofsuccession,basedontheresultsofafact-findingsurveyofChineseSMEs,andatthesametimebringtothesurfacetheprimaryfactorswhichinfluencepreparationsandplans.Theresultsoftheanalysisshedlightonthestatusofbusinesssuccessionpreparations,successor’sawarenessofissues,decisionmaking,andsoon.Thissurveyhighlightstheawarenessofbusinesssuccessionamongbusinessmanagers.
