摘要
Riverconfluences(RCs)areimportantfeatureswithinriversystemswherethethreedimensional(3D)flowstructuresandthedownstreammixingofflowscancausedeepscourholes.Despitethis,fewmethodshavebeenproposedtocontrolscouringatRCs.Inthisstudy,applicationofacollarwasexperimentallyexaminedforlocalscourcontrolatthepointwheretworiversflowtogether.Inparticular,experimentaltestsweredonewithandwithoutcollarapplicationatthreedifferentlocations.Theresultsrevealthatthescourdepthisdirectlyproportionaltothedischargeratio,i.e.theratiooflateraldischargetothatinthechanneldownstreamoftheconfluence,andthedensimetricFroudenumber(Frg).Inaddition,installationofacollaratRCscandecreasethescourdepthupto100%,thuscompletelyavoidingthescourprocess.TheresultsalsoshowthatbyincreasingtheFrgtheoptimalinstallationlocationforacollarchangesandmovestowardstheriverbedlevel.Usingacollarcanalsoreducetheheightofthepointbarformeddownstreamoftheconfluence.Theoutcomesofthestudyallowderivationofanequationforpredictingscourdepthwhenacollarisappliedasacountermeasure.TheanalysisofthisequationshowsthattheestimatesaremostlyaffectedbytheFrg.
