Influences of external restraint on welding distortion in low carbon steel bead-on thin plate joints

摘要 Theout-of-planedeformationisaseriousprobleminthin-plateweldedjoint,anditisdifficulttoreduceorcontrolthedistortionduringweldingprocess.Externalrestraintisregardedasaneffectivemethodtomitigatethedistortion,anditiswidelyusedintheactualmanufacturingprocess.Inordertoinvestigatetheinfluenceofexternalrestraintonweldingdeformationinthinplatejoints,athermo-elastic-plasticfiniteelementmethodbasedonABAQUSsoftwarewasdevelopedtocalculatewelding-induceddeformation.Meanwhile,weldingdeformationinthethin-platejointswasmeasuredbyexperiments.Throughcomparingthenumericalresultswiththemeasureddata,theeffectivenessofthedevelopedcomputationalapproachwasverified.Basedonthesimulatedandexperimentalresults,thegenerationmechanismoftheout-of-planedeformationinthinplatebead-onjointwasdiscussed,andtheinfluenceofexternalrestraintonthefinalweldingdeformationwasclarified.
