摘要
Theultraviolet(UV)bandedgephotorefractivityofLiNbO_3:Zrat325nmhasbeeninvestigated.Theexperimentalresultsshowthattheresistanceagainstphotorefractionat325nmisquiteobviousbutnotasstrongasthatat351nm,whenthedopingconcentrationofZrreaches2.0mol%.ItisreportedthatthephotorefractivityinothertetravalentlydopedLiNbO_3crystals,suchasLiNbO_3:HfandLiNbO_3:Sn,isenhanceddramaticallywithdopingconcentrationoverthreshold.HerewegiveanexplicitexplanationonsuchseemlyconflictingbehaviorsoftetravalentlydopedLiNbO_3,whichisascribedtothecombinedeffectofincreasedphotoconductivityandtheabsorptionstrengthofthebandedgephotorefractivecenters.
