Combining sum-difference and auxiliary beams for adaptive monopulse in jamming

摘要 Onlyinthepresenceofsidelobejamming(SLJ),cantheconventionaladaptivemonopulsetechniquenullthejammingeffectivelyandmaintainthemonopulseangleestimationaccuracysimultaneously.Whilemainlobejamming(MLJ)exists,themainlobeofadaptivepatternwillsubjecttoseriousdistortion,whichresultsinafailureofdetectingandtrackingtargetsbymonopulsetechnique.Therefore,amonopulseangleestimationalgorithmbasedoncombiningsum-differencebeamandauxiliarybeamispresented.Thisalgorithmutilizesbothhighgaindifferencebeamsandhighgainauxiliarybeamsforcancellingthemainlobejammerandmultiplesidelobejammers(SLJs)whilekeepinganadaptivemonopulseratio.TheoreticalanalysisandsimulationresultsindicatethattheseriousinvalidationofmonopulsetechniqueinMLJandSLJsscenariosisresolvedwell,whichimprovesthemonopulseangleaccuracygreatly.Furthermore,theproposedalgorithmisofsimpleimplementationandlowcomputationalcomplexity.
