Land Degradation Control Policies and Practices in Canada and Its Implications to China-中国期刊网

摘要 LanddegradationisoneofthesignificantenvironmentalproblemsinbothChinaandCanada,whichseriouslythreatensthesustainabledevelopmentofnationaleconomyandsocietyofbothcountries.Thispaperintroducedsomepolicies,regulationsanddepartmentcoordinationmechanismsoflandresourcemanagement,restoration/rehabilitationofdegradedland,forestresourcesmanagement,agriculturalenvironmentalprotectionandmineralarealandreclamationinCanada.Somepractices,experiencesandeffectsinlanddegradationcontrolofCanadawerelistedandanalyzed.Finally,itwassuggestedthatthesuccessfulexperiencesofCanadaintechnology,policyandmanagementforlanddegradationcontrolshouldbelearnedforimprovingefficiencyoflanddegradationinChina’swesternregion.
