摘要
Amethodhasbeendevisedtoanalyzemultilayerelectricallythickcircularmi-crostripantennaexcitedbyaprobe.Thecurrentontheprobeistakentobeuniform.Thismethodwasverifiedbyanalysisandexperimentofanelectricallythickcircularmicrostripan-tennawithanairgap.BasedonthefreespaceelectricdyadicGreen’sfunction,thefieldexpressionofanhorizontalelectricdipole(HED),whichislocatedatanypointofthemultilayermediaandpointsinanydirection,hasbeenderived.ByusingthisfieldexpressionandtheRichmondre-actionequation,anintegralequationintermsofelectriccurrentonthepatchisformulated.Byproperlychoosingcurrentexpansionmodes,thismethodcanbeusedforanelectricallythickmi-crostripantenna.Thetheoreticalresultsagreeverywellwithexperimentaldataforanelectricallythickcircularmicrostripantennawithanairgap.
