摘要
-Waverefraction-diffractionduetoalargeoceanstructureandtopographyinthepresenceofa’currentarestudiednumerically.Themathematicalmodelisthemild-slopeequationdevelopedbyKirby(1984).Thisequationissolvedusingafiniteandboundaryelementmethod.Thephysicaldomainisdevid-edintotworegions:aslowlyvaryingtopographyregionandaconstantwaterdepthregion.Forwavespropagatingintheconstantwaterdepthregion,withoutcurrentinterfering,themild-slopeequationisthenreducedtotheHelmholtzequationwhichissolvedbyboundaryelementmethod.Invaryingtopographyregion,thisequationwillbesolvedbyfiniteelementmethod.Conservationofmassandenergyfluxofthefluidbetweenthesetworegionsisrequiredforcompositionofthesetwonumericalmethods.Thenumericalschemeproposedhereiscapableofdealingwithwaterwaveproblemsofdifferentwaterdepthswiththemaincharactersofthesetwomethods.
